Can I use your services on my smartphone or tablet?

Absolutely! This site was created for smartphone and tablet users. Because we offer multiple delivery options of documents, you do not need access to a printer when ordering.

Is your website secure?

Yes. Because we use an encrypted SSL connection, all information sent between a customer and a server is encrypted by the sending software and decrypted by the receiving software, which provides a high degree of confidentiality. Confidentiality is important for both parties to any private transaction. Why should I use TX-DPS.com to order my birth certificate.

We have been in business since 2004 and have birth certificate specialist on hand to help you through the process of applying for your birth certificate.  This is not always the easiest process and only one small mistake can cause an applicant to get a rejection letter.  Our specialists review all applications to ensure all information is provided correctly.  Additionally we review the birth certificates received from the state to ensure they are correct based on the applications that are submitted.  If not, we work directly we the state vitals office to remedy the situation.

What type of birth certificate will I receive?

You will receive a Texas state certified long form birth certificate from the Texas State Vitals. We are not responsible for incorrect information submitted by the user. You will be charged even if the birth certificate is not on file with the state. You will receive a “no record on file” letter from the Texas Vitals. We are happy to assist if the errors can be remedied easily and resubmit.

What is the purpose of a notary public?

A notary public is a person of integrity who is appointed to act as an impartial witness to the signing of an important transaction and to perform a notarial act, which validates the transaction. A notary’s primary purpose is to prevent fraud and forgery by requiring the personal presence of the signer and satisfactorily identifying the signer.

What does it mean to “notarize a signature”?

“Notarize a signature” is a generic phrase used when administering an oath or taking an acknowledgment, the two most common notarial acts.

What type of driving record will I receive?

You will receive a Texas state certified 3A driving record that is acceptable for the defensive driving course and Texas courts. It lists all crashes (even if no ticket was received), and all moving and non-moving violations in the record.

How long will it take to receive my record?

If you choose our Email delivery option, you will receive your record in 24 hours or less. Regular service orders are mailed via regular U.S. mail. After processing the normal delivery time is 3-4 days. Express mail orders are delivered the day after processing.

Do I need to be home to accept my overnight express package?

No, a signature is not required on express packages. If you are not home the package will be left on your doorstep.

What types of payment are accepted?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and debit cards.

What is the CSC number on the payment form?

The CSC number is the last 3 digits on the back of your credit card. This number is found only on Visa and MasterCard.

What if I don’t receive my driver record, birth certificate or death certificate?

If you don’t receive your document in 2-4 days after all forms are submitted, you need to contact TX-DPS.com via the Contact Us page email or at 888-596-7307. Depending on volume, you should receive a response within 24 hours.

Can I get a refund?

No. Once payment is made and forms are submitted, processing begins immediately. We pride ourselves on quality and speed. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds.
